2 Samuel 5: 3 Therefore all the elders of Israel came to the king at Hebron, and King David made a covenant with them at Hebron before the LORD. And they anointed David king over Israel.
David is anointed King over all of Israel. David's ministry as King came in increments. He was Called and anointed as king in 1 Samuel 16. He was trained as to what is the right heart and actions of a king in 1 Samuel 17 through 2 Samuel 4. Now he will begin his stewardship as King of God's nation and God's people.
